Nutrition-Week 3
I like the idea of playing with the Wii to exercise. It looks like fun. I've played with one of these things to bowl and play tennis but I prefer the actual feel of the racquet or the heft of the bowling ball. I love the idea of music for working out! I don't have time to keep up with all the entering of information or the free informative emails that the sites send out.

Virtual Worlds
I'm taking a class at USF called Human-Computer Interaction. Our teacher has us using Google Lively. Maybe I'm just old fashioned but I like to meet people who I can see. At least I can actually see them as people. I went into one room and met a "cat." (Ok, I didn't actually meet the cat because I haven't learned to move myself around a room yet but the cat was there at my feet.) How many other people like to spend time in these places? How many people am I seeing who are actually far away from the state of Florida?

I'm Baaack!!!
The year is 2008 and I'm once again, an official blogger. As a student at USF, I am working towards my MLS degree and anything I can learn about technology can only be helpful. The class I am presently enrolled in requires me to participate in a virtual world called Lively. It's a whole new experience for me and change promotes growth so I'm growing....a whole LOT!!!

Week 10
I could not find the podcast of News from Lake Wobegone. Wish I could have. I like that show on the radio.
As for the LIBVIBE, the dancing, wavey thing made me ill. (Sorry, to all you who love visuals.)
My plans for the MP3 player are as follows: MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC!!! Now that I know for sure that I can "rip" CDs, I will be filling my little machine with tunes and hitting the walking trails! (I hope there is one left with my name on it.)

Lesson #9
I compared Plasma to Map Music and I liked the second better. Grabbing a cd from a shelving cart, I typed in "Tony Bennett" hoping to see the name of an artist I liked but whose name I could not remember. Plasma didn't show it but MapMusic did. (Jamie Cullum was the artist.) There also seemed to be a greater number of different names as well. I like to look at things but the shifting in Music Map was annoying.
"Stand Still LADDIE!" I'll probably check it out again though! Good info to know.

Week 8
I am supposed to Share and discuss this course. Well, I am taking on-line classes at the University of South Florida. I like to learn but the posting part gets to be a little annoying. I want to INTERACT with people and writing a reply days after the fact that they've posted makes me feel like I'm wasting my time. But that's how we're graded on class participation. I'm not big on sharing my feelings on-line.
To make it simple for folks to understand: (And only Trek fans will probably understand)
Sharing on line to me is like what Tribbles are to Klingons.
